Hi there! It’s Megan, owner of Fluffy Potato Knits. I learned to knit in high school in our knitting club (yes, you read that right) and knit off and on for years. I really developed a passion for knitting a couple years ago making items for friends and family, but between my newfound yarn obsession and desire to try out new patterns and techniques, I decided it was time to start a business. Welcome to Fluffy Potato Knits! I hope you’ll enjoy any items you buy, and I appreciate your support!

The Inspiration behind Fluffy Potato Knits

When it came to figuring out a name for my business, I immediately knew it would have to relate to my cat Boots (aka Bootsy, Schmoopy, and many others). He’s been in my life ever since I brought him in as a stray in 2014 - he had clearly been dumped or forgotten. He has since provided entertainment, snuggles, laughs, and silliness on a daily basis. And, I can often find him curled up with his paws and tails tucked under his body like a (rather large) potato, and the name Fluffy Potato Knits was born.

Note: Yarn and products I make are kept in a cat-free knitting room and all items are washed before being stored in containers, and I try my very best to keep everything as cat fur-free as humanly possible. If you have any concerns or questions, please email me at fluffypotatoknits@gmail.com
